records/evaluations/data review

Are you overwhelmed with the sheer amount of data, records, evaluations, reports, and jargon?  We can help organize, analyze, and make sense of it all by

  • Reviewing existing records

  • Helping you identify additional needed records

  • Interpreting information housed in Special Education (IEP) and 504 plan paperwork

  • Providing guidance with additional needed evaluations and services

  • Drafting formal requests and follow ups for additional records, evaluations, and services 

  • Assist with considering and identifying your child's individual strengths and needs using all data, including related services, outside evaluations, parent input, and student input


IEP/504 Plan Review

Are you needing help understanding the IEP or 504 plan documents?  We can help bring clarity by reviewing your child's IEP or 504 plan and

  • interpreting its contents before you sign

  • identifying if all required items have been appropriately addressed and documented

  • ensuring your child's present levels of academic and functional performance (PLAAFP) have been properly identified, included, and considered

  • identifying if there is a proper connection between PLAAFPs and recommended goals

  • considering whether schedule of services recommended properly align with helping your child meet those recommended goals

  • ensuring contents properly communicate decisions reached in your child's IEP or 504 meeting

  • ensuring procedural safeguards were appropriately implemented with regard to invitation and provision of finalized paperwork tailored to your specific needs, 1:1 wellness coaching might be the right step for you.

ARD/504 Meeting Attendance

Is sitting in a room (in person or virtually) with multiple school representatives simply overwhelming or intimidating?  We can help by accompanying you to your child's ARD/504 meeting (options for in person and virtual depending on location) and

  • monitoring implementation of required mandates and procedural safeguards

  • partnering with you in active participation and providing meaningful input 

  • encouraging positive collaboration during meeting discussions and appropriate supports and services for your child

  • ensuring you are comfortable with your understanding of discussions, recommendations, and decisions being made

  • if appropriate, providing support in your child's participation in the meeting

  • if appropriate, ensuring your child's active participation in the transitioning planning process

  • monitoring effective documentation of ARD/504 meeting decisions


Formal Communication

Are you feeling like you know what you want to say, but are just needing some help formally putting it into words?  We can help by

  • drafting e-mail communications and responses to school personnel

  • drafting a parental statement to be included in an IEP in response to a disagreement or document that inaccurately captures the decisions made

  • drafting formal requests for educational records or record corrections
